We currently have several excellent bank owned properties that are priced very competitively. One of the very best is this like new, fully furnished, two bedroom, two bath log home in Sky Harbor. Perfectly located conveniently between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, no more than 10 minutes from either town, you will enjoy an excellent view and this cabin is ready to rent to vacationing guests or to enjoy yourself. Please let us know if we may assist with this or any other real estate here in Sevier County.
Foreclosures Dot the Gatlinburg Landscape!
I am often asked how to find Gatlinburg area foreclosures that can be purchased and the answer is ask us. Because there is no single way to find all of the properties that are either already bank owned or are soon to be in the lender’s hands we have to search our Great Smoky Mountain Association of Realtors MLS database for this information. I have recently however found a site that will at least give you information on some of the properties that are either already foreclosed or will likely be soon.
The site is http://www.all-foreclosure.com/ which is powered by the folks at RealtyTrac, one of the best sources for foreclosure information out there. Even this site however has its weaknesses. I have found that the data is only partially complete as it fails to show several foreclosed properties that I am personally aware of. For this rather incomplete information the site charges $50/month for the full addresses and background information of the properties in question. Still, their map interface is excellent and it will give you an idea of the size of our current foreclosure mess both here in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee and in your own community. Take a look at the map based search and try viewing the Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Kodak, Seymour, or Gatlinburg areas. If you want to see what the map looks like for the Gatlinburg area, here is a sample map that I pulled from the site this afternoon:
