With still some more “dust” to settle, May’s tally of residential sales in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville/Seymour/Kodak and surrounding communities, as reported by the Great Smoky Mountain Association of Realtors, was really strong. In fact, the preliminary number as of this post is already 166 homes, condos, and mobile homes sold by members of our MLS. My revised best guess is that we will likely end up with around 175 sales and that will be strong indeed. Here’s my latest summary:

While nowhere near the torrid pace of 2007, for the 5th month in a row, these are the best results for the month since the record setting 2005-2007 period. I myself have had a great start to the year, with 69 sales as of this writing already for 2012.
